Our client is an exciting new family entertainment center designed to offer thrills for all ages. As the Assistant General Manager at our family entertainment center, you will play a vital role in supporting the overall management, operations, and guest experience of the facility. Your leadership skills, organizational abilities, and commitment to excellence will contribute to the success and growth of the center. This job description outlines the primary responsibilities and qualifications required for the position.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Support:
Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, including attractions, food service, and guest interactions.
Collaborate with department managers to ensure seamless operations across all areas.
Staff Leadership:
Provide leadership and support to department managers and staff members.
Set performance expectations, conduct evaluations, and foster a positive team environment.
Guest Satisfaction:
Ensure that all guests have a positive and enjoyable experience.
Address guest feedback and concerns to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
Financial Management:
Assist in managing budgets, revenue targets, and expenses.
Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to achieve financial goals.
Training and Development:
Collaborate with department managers to develop and implement training programs for staff.
Ensure that staff members are well-trained in their respective roles.
Health and Safety Compliance:
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and enforce proper safety procedures.
Monitor safety measures and address any concerns promptly.
Guest Engagement:
Interact with guests, gather feedback, and engage in conversations to enhance the guest experience.
Provide assistance and support as needed.
Marketing and Promotion:
Collaborate with the marketing team to promote special events, packages, and attractions.
Contribute to marketing strategies to attract and retain guests.
Problem Resolution:
Address operational challenges, guest concerns, and staffing issues in a timely and effective manner.
Collaborate with management to find solutions.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency enhancements, and revenue growth.
Implement strategies to elevate the overall performance of the family entertainment center.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, hospitality management, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in a management role within the hospitality, entertainment, or service industry.
Experience managing and developing hospitality staff and preferably experience managing and developing other managers/leads. The AGM needs to understand all areas of the business and be able to help, teach and assist in all areas.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff and guests.
Organizational skills to manage multiple departments and aspects of operations.
Financial acumen and the ability to analyze financial reports and budgets.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the operational needs of the family entertainment center
Strong food & beverage experience required. Must be willing and able to jump into the kitchen or behind the bar, if needed.
Entrepreneurial / small business mindset required. The candidate needs to be able to assess problems and develop solutions on their own.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Customer service skills and the ability to develop a team focused on customer service
Spanish language preferred
Eatertainment experience preferred
Experience with Brunswick Sync POS helpful
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range - $60K - $65K
