The Sous Chef will serve as a key leader in the kitchen, supporting daily operations, upholding culinary standards, and contributing to seasonal menu development. Responsibilities
Kitchen Leadership
Support the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations
Lead the team during service to ensure timing, execution, and consistency
Train, mentor, and motivate cooks and support staff
Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative kitchen culture
Culinary Execution
Prepare and execute dishes aligned with authentic Tuscan culinary traditions
Assist in seasonal menu development, specials, and recipe testing
Maintain high standards for presentation, portioning, and flavor
Ensure strict adherence to food safety and sanitation protocols
Operational Support
Assist with inventory management, ordering, and vendor coordination
Monitor food costs and minimize waste while maintaining quality
Oversee prep production and ensure readiness for each service
Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Head Chef
Qualifications / Requirements
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to advance
Solid foundation in classic culinary techniques and kitchen operations
Experience in Italian cuisine preferred
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to remain calm, organized, and solutions-oriented during high-volume service
Passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and from-scratch cooking
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Authorized to work in the United States
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary Range: $65,000 – $75,000
Partial Relocation Assistance Available
