Reporting to senior operations leadership, the General Manager will oversee all aspects of restaurant operations while partnering closely with onsite leadership teams and corporate support departments. This role is responsible for driving financial performance, operational excellence, team development, and guest satisfaction while fostering a culture rooted in hospitality, accountability, and growth.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality leader with strong business acumen, a passion for people development, and a proven ability to lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced, high-volume dining environment. Principal Responsibilities:
Financial & Operational Leadership
Partner with Operations Leadership and corporate teams to establish and achieve profitability goals, performance metrics, and operational benchmarks.
Create financial forecasts, including projected cover counts, check averages, COGS, and labor percentages.
Monitor daily and weekly sales performance and identify opportunities for revenue growth and operational improvements.
Ensure effective reservation strategies and occupancy maximization to drive guest counts and check averages.
Collaborate with Marketing and PR teams to execute company initiatives and develop innovative local business-driving strategies.
Review and approve operational purchases, including beverage, office supplies, smallwares, and restaurant-related expenditures.
Oversee payroll management, labor controls, staffing pars, and scheduling efficiencies.
Ensure the restaurant and facilities are maintained to the highest standards by partnering with management and maintenance teams.
Work cross-functionally with culinary and operations leadership to identify and execute capital improvement projects.
Meet or exceed budgeted financial goals while ensuring leadership teams remain aligned with daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, coach, and develop restaurant management teams while fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and hospitality.
Establish operational, financial, and cultural goals for restaurant managers and provide ongoing performance feedback and development.
Partner with senior leadership on annual performance reviews and succession planning initiatives.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and Department of Health regulations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and beautifully maintained restaurant environment.
Build a positive workplace culture that supports employee engagement, retention, and high performance.
Continuously seek opportunities to strengthen both internal team culture and external community relationships.
Recruiting, Training & Talent Development
Recruit, interview, and hire top hospitality talent aligned with company culture and values.
Identify and develop high-potential team members for future growth opportunities within the organization.
Oversee all front-of-house training programs and ensure consistent execution of onboarding and ongoing development initiatives.
Lead comprehensive new hire orientations and conduct regular employee check-ins to support engagement and retention.
Educate management teams on effective interviewing, hiring, coaching, and performance management best practices.
Ensure all employees are set up for success through structured development and operational excellence.
Guest Experience & Community Engagement
Ensure the restaurant consistently delivers exceptional hospitality and memorable guest experiences.
Monitor guest feedback platforms and ensure timely, professional responses to reviews and guest concerns.
Analyze guest feedback trends and implement operational improvements as needed.
Strengthen relationships with regular guests, event clients, and community partners.
Serve as an ambassador for the restaurant and brand within the local community.
Support and encourage local community service initiatives and staff involvement.
Drive repeat business and positive brand recognition through hospitality excellence and guest engagement.
Qualifications & Requirements:
3+ years of restaurant management experience required.
3+ years of experience in fine casual or fine dining, high-volume environments preferred.
Strong financial acumen including labor management, forecasting, and P&L oversight.
Exceptional leadership, communication, coaching, and team-building skills.
Deep understanding of hospitality operations and guest experience standards.
Experience with restaurant POS systems and operational reporting platforms preferred.
Strong food and beverage knowledge preferred.
Ability to multitask, problem solve, delegate effectively, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality or related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and reach throughout shifts.
Ability to lift between 10–50 lbs as needed.
Compensation & Benefits:
$100K - $130K base + performance incentives
